Forgotten
Chapter 1

-- Now

"What is your name?" A stern man of the Dai Li questioned.
"The Red Spirit." They replied.
"What is your purpose?" He asked sternly.
Their head lifted and replied. "Kill the Blue Spirit."

--

"Lee! Are you off work now?" A girl smiled, clinging to the young man with the scar.
He looked down at her in annoyance, "you ask that everyday at the same time; isn’t it obvious by now that I get off work an hour before sunset?"
"But you’re sometimes late coming out." She frowned.
"I stay in to help my uncle clean sometimes, do you have a problem with that?"
"Who’s that?" Jin, the girl, looked up on a shops’ roof.

The young man actually named Zuko, looked up and saw a person, "what the hell?!" Immediately he shoved her in the alleyway as he spoke out to himself, "that person looks exactly like the Blue Spirit, but, with opposite colors."

Indeed, the person on the rooftop looked identical to the Blue Spirit, but the mask was red, not blue, and her clothing was white instead of black. What the hell was going on right now; was someone trying to challenge the Blue Spirit? Whoever that was, they jumped down and began walking down the pathway and Jin sneezed as the person was passing by.

Shink!

A sai was at Jin’s throat in the blink of an eye and Zuko’s breath was held back; stunned at the quickness of the hand movement and reaction. The sai was raised was from her neck, and then to Zuko’s slowly, and it seemed that the person found him as a small threat. Zuko saw how their hand began to tremble lightly; obviously wanted to kill him right then and there, he began to raise his heat to start fire bending, even if the peasant saw, he didn’t want to be killed.

"Red Spirit." A Dai Li member asked sternly, and a separate sai was thrown at him, but he made a wall just in time. "What are you doing out?!" He grabbed the sai and threw it at the masked person and the two peasants against the wall thought he was crazy, but the person caught it and placed it at their side. "Long Feng gave a strict order to kill the Blue Spirit only, not some stupid commoners!" He glared. "Search for the Blue Spirit at night; he won’t be out until then since we have the avatar in our grasp. Now report back to the wall till sundown." His voice was stern, and the person nodded while returning the other sai to their side. There was a definite scoff behind the red mask as the person hopped away and disappeared.

"Wow, that woman was something…" Jin said nervously in amusement.
Zuko looked at her, "how do you know it was a woman?"
She pouted, "woman don’t have flat chests like men."
"Oh… right…" he was still a little confused from what just happened.
"So who’s the Blue Spirit? You said it before the Dai Li guy did." Jin asked curiously.
"It doesn’t matter, I’ll… see you tomorrow." The prince stated; since she always goes to the tea shop where he worked, and then began running home.

Jin looked confused, "maybe he has a curfew?" She shrugged and left.

--

Evening became night, and when he was sure that his uncle was fully asleep, he began to strip off his clothes and place on the pure black silk, placed his dual swords sheath on his grabbed, and grabbed the blue mask. Zuko would find out what that so-called, ‘Red Spirit’ wanted with the Blue Spirit; he didn’t know that anyone knew about it here even, but it wasn’t like he was never wrong. He careful climbed out of the window, and began wondering where the damn woman would be.

After earlier events where she could’ve killed him, it was decided that she couldn’t be taken lightly, even for her gender. He counted only two sais before and after she threatened him and the peasant, and knew that she had to be skilled in order to have such reflexes. There was indeed a competition here, and he wouldn’t dare lose to that damn woman; the Red Spirit.

The Blue Spirit looked around at a small deserted park, thinking no one was even there. "Now where could she-?" Zuko was interrupted.

SHINK!

He crashed to one knee at the graze on his arm, and looked at the ground and saw a sai with a little of his blood on it; she was here. Picking himself up to show no sign of weakness, he looked in the direction the sai came from, and nothing was there, so he turned around, and the sai was gone. His body was completely on alert now; just what was he dealing with, she was human right?

SHINK! SHINK!

The sais grazed his thighs and he gritted in pain but tried to withstand it as long as he could, but she was attacking him so he would be bad at both offense and defense. This person was definitely not to be taken lightly; both close and far combat, that was a little extreme for him to be dealing with. Was there anyway he could defeat this Red Spirit?

"Show yourself!" Zuko yelled. Then realized that he took his eyes off of the sais, and his assumptions were correct, they were gone. "You’re not being fair you bitch!" This was getting him nervous, he couldn’t defeat something that he couldn’t see.

"I wasn’t told to be fair," a voice echoed through the park in a whisper, as if it was to taunt his mind, and it was. "Kill the Blue Spirit." It whispered, and a sweet giggle after it.

"Show yourself! I don’t want to fight if it can be avoided! Why have you come for me?!"
The winds picked up, and she giggled, "I want to fight, there’s no avoiding that."
"Who are you?!" The Blue Spirit yelled and made his own fierce echo.
"The Red Spirit." The whispers replied; a lot closer than before. "I’ve come to kill you."

She was behind him!

CLANK!

The Blue Spirit had taken out his dual swords and blocked the attack at his face, but by only a few centimeters; much too close for comfort. It was invisible, but you could tell that she was grinning behind the mask and he shoved away so he could look over her form. Though it seems that she wasn’t liking it and she charged at him, but only to jump behind him and kick him beneath his feet to have him fall on the soaked grass.

Thud!

"You disappoint me; I was trained to kill you, but you’re washed up, you must be happy with your little pathetic life, aren’t you?" She snickered.
"Where’s the Avatar bitch?" Zuko tried talking instead of fighting.
"The Avatar?" The Red Spirit asked confusedly.
"You and the Dai Li talked about him, where is the Avatar and his damn companions?!"
"…companions…?" She sounded confused, "ah!"

Clatter!

Dropping the sais on the ground, she held her head tightly as if she was about to go insane; this was Zuko’s perfect chance, and so he took it.  Not going easy on her, he bashed the hilt of his dual swords and his her arms quickly the slit open her stomach on the side before cutting her legs , and now she was no threat at all. It was the most perfect time to kill her, but instead, he pulled of her mask, and happened to see that it was female water bender that traveled with the Avatar.

"You’re that damn peasant…" He dropped his dual swords; what had he done?
The water bender glared at him, "I’m not a peasant, who are you then?"
Zuko obediently removed his mask and looked at her, "me."

The Red Sprit, formally known at Katara in the Avatar group, began glaring at Zuko angrily, unable to move much, and knew that she was losing her breath. Zuko sighed in relief, hoping that revealing himself to her was good enough to stop her attacks on him. Katara’s eyes were so fierce and deadly though, he didn’t know what was going on…

"I’ll ask one more time," she said dangerously, "Who are you?!"

That last yell took what was left of her breathing and she fell on the grass and lost her conscious stage. Zuko stared at her for the moment; mostly wondering about how the hell she got so good at fighting without water bending. Now that he had wounded her so badly, he had to take her in, that way he could ask questions about the Avatar.

He was kidnapping her, again.
What happened to Katara? Does she not know that's Zuko? Maybe its too dark?!
